Executive Plus

Designed for business and professional people and those with specific language needs related to their job. With this option we include a pre-course client appraisal, specific work-related language teaching and specialist course materials. Specialised language tuition is available whatever your needs, for example vocational areas such as law, finance, banking, accountancy, marketing, sales, aviation, medicine and more.

The rates for the Executive Plus option are calculated by adding £150, EUR180, or $180 to the standard price per week per relevant country (see below the rates table).

City Plus

  • This option is available only for students/clients who opt-in for the city tutor homestays in any relevant country.
  •  This option is compulsory and included in the programme by default for all students/clients who are less than 18 y.o. to be accommodated in the cities of the UK and the US. 
  • The client/student can choose 3 activities (i.e. theatre experience, attending the football match, etc.) together with the tutor or one of the members of the tutor family.
  • The activities are scheduled for the half-day (i.e. 3 activities = 3 half-days)
  • Transportation costs are included in the pack.
  • The activity tickets are not included in the pack and need to be paid for separately (i.e. the student/client pays for both oneself and the guide).

The rates for the City Plus option are calculated by adding £240, EUR300, или $400 to the standard price per week per relevant country (see below the rates table).

Preparation for language exams

This is the programme designed for students/clients who want to prepare themselves for passing the foreign language exams. This programmes is available in many countries and in many languages. The programme includes the study materials by default for the duration of the course.

Types of exams

  • Cambridge Preliminary English Test (PET), Cambridge First Certificate in English (FCE), Cambridge Advanced English (CAE), Cambridge Proficiency in English (CPE), IELTS, TOEFL, TOEIC.
  • We will be able to help the student/client to get prepare of any foreign language exam according with requirements. For instance, we train our clients for such exams as DELF  – Diploma in French Language Studies and DSFL – Diplomas of Spanish as a Foreign Language.

The rates for the preparation for the exams option is calculated by adding £60, EUR80 or $80 to the standard price per week per relevant country (see below the rates table).

Family bookings

  • Siblings and friends of the student/client can stay in the tutor’s home for an additional payment indicated in the price list in the column named the “Additional day of stay” (see above the price list).
  • Discounts up to 50% are granted to children less than 6y.o. Children less than 6y.o. are enrolled only if they are accompanied by the parent who is not taking part in the study programme.

Additional day of stay

  • Students/clients can prolong their stay by up to 2 days, depending on the changes in their flight/travelling arrangements. In July-August the additional day of stay option is not available.

Bathroom ensuite

  • Students/clients may want to book the room equipped with the ensuite bathroom. We guarantee to deliver this option in all countries of the students/clients stay.
  • Additional charges for this option shall be £140, EUR210, $210 per week per country of stay (see above the price list).
  • Two students/clients can share one bathroom and charges between themselves 50/50.

Transfers

Fixed rates on transfers in the UK and Ireland. In separate cases, there may be additional fuel charges.

What is it like to study in the British secondary school?

  • You will study same subjects (i.e. maths, physics, geography, literature, etc.) with your British schoolmates in the authentic British environment.
  • You will have classes in sports, music, drama.

  • Host families are very experienced and, usually, located near the school.

What is the typical day in the British secondary school?

  • The day starts from the general meeting; both schoolchildren and tutors get together to discuss briefly the agenda.
  • The classes start.

    What is the process like?

    • You will learn with your children in one school but in different classrooms.
    • Your child will be busy learning from 9am to 5pm.

    Programme for parents:

    • Parents can take General or Business English courses in the morning and Conversational English in the afternoon.

    Hello, my name is Jacqui, that’s short for Jacqueline. I’m a London-born English teacher presently living and working in the beautiful Veneto region of Northern Italy. I`m  inviting you to stay with our family in Italy and learn English with me. Before your trip we can have several online English lessons to get to know each other and get prepared for English course in Italy. Read more about Jacqui.

    Students live as part of the family and therefore join in all our social and every day activities such as shopping, walking, cooking etc. (My partner is a great cook and students who want to learn how to make some typical Italian dishes will enjoy cooking with him). We have many English speaking friends and try to organise at least a couple of social events whilst the students are staying with us.

    Lesson content has to be decided before the students’ arrival and will obviously depend on their needs and level. I also have a large library of DVDs and English books the students can make use of during their stay.

     The picturesque area in the mountains

       

    My house is in a very beautiful rural area in the foothills of the pre dolomites and is surrounded by vineyards, woods and cherry orchards. There are wonderful walks with views of the dolomites and it’s very peaceful (perfect for studying!) The nearest village is 6 minutes by car and there one can find bank, pharmacy, supermarket etc.

    Verona is 35 mins by car, Lake Garda 45 mins by car and Venice an hour by train. I would pick up and drop off students at the airport and if they want to go out on their own I can drop them off at the station or in town and pick them up later (or they can hire a car)

    Alternatively there is a very nice bed and breakfast next door to me with swimming pool should students prefer to stay there. In this case the price of the B&B would be deducted from my asking price but all other arrangements would remain the same with lessons and 2 meals a day taken at my house.

    £140 per day (10% discount for additional studying guests & 20% for non-studying guests)

    Programme includes

    • 2-3 hours of lessons x 5 days per week (depending on excursion schedule),
    • accommodation in a double or single room with own bathroom,
    •  full-board (breakfast, light lunch and dinner, including evening in pizzeria, except for when we are out on an excursion or any meals in restaurants).

    B&B with swimming pool

    Also if you would like to have the use of an outdoor swimming pool, you could also stay at the B&B next door (if they have a room). You would sleep and have breakfast there but spend most of the rest of the time with Jacqui in her house except for your free/study time.

    Excursions

       

    Venice, Lake Garda, Verona, Opera in Verona, Soave, Vicenza, Bassano del grappa, Mantova, Molina waterfall park, Marostica, visit to a natural hot water terme, to the Lessini Mountains and many other interesting places like Gastronomic Excursions. (Visitors pay extra small amount for excursions).

    For a one week stay one long and 2 short excursions (ex Verona, Soave & Lake Garda) recommended with 15 hours lesson schedule.

    Other activities

    Cooking lessons can be organized with a professional chef for 50€ or we can hold them ourselves either instead of English lessons or at an extra cost of 20€. Because cooking lessons are in English they are a very enjoyable way to practice speaking, learn everyday & cooking vocabulary and enjoy some fantastic Italian dishes.

    Walking. For those who like to walk there’s plenty of beautiful countryside from right outside our door! Walking/ hiking trips in the mountains nearby can also be organized.

    Cycling. We have 2 bicycles guests can use but be prepared the area is hilly!

    Dogs. I have 2 dogs (weimaraners) who are extremely friendly, but a homestay with us would not be suitable for someone who is afraid of or allergic to dogs.
